Spousal Maintenance

When couples separate, it is sometimes difficult for one partner to meet their ongoing expenses due to having the care or children, their health or being out of the work force. In such circumstances, there can be an ongoing obligation on one partner to financially support the other for a certain period of time. This is known as spousal maintenance.

At Aitken Street Family Law, we can advise you on whether a spousal maintenance claim is viable and what steps should be taken to address such a claim.
