Separation is a difficult time. It is a time when you need help and information and many issues suddenly become extremely urgent, including occupation of the family home, division of relationship property, childcare arrangements, and financial support. You and your partner may not be able to agree on all these things at the time of separation. In our view, it is important to make early, informed decisions as these decisions can impact future proceedings or create situations that you did not anticipate.
